Our Problem

We have a serious problem...

We’re separated from God. Think you’re good enough to bridge the gap? The Bible teaches that we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). We all fall short. There’s nobody good enough. We’re all sinners.

That’s a big problem, because the reward for our sin is eternal separation from God. The Bible tells us that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

… but God has the solution

The Bible says that God loved the world and he gave his only Son, so that whoever believes in Him would have eternal life (John 3:16).

In fact, God shows his love to us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). The cross of Jesus bridges the gap, and pays the penalty for our sin— so there’s no longer any condemnation (Romans 8:1).

If you die tonight, will you go to Heaven or Hell?

The Bible has been written so you can know that you have eternal life! Eternal life is in God’s son. Whoever has God’s son has life, and whoever does not have God’s son does not have life (I John 5:11-13).

The Bible teaches that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). God is faithful and righteous— if we confess our sins, God will cleanse us from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9).

How, then will you live?

BannerGod made us to worship Him. Jesus is our Savior, and Jesus is our Lord. We urge you, therefore, in light of God’s mercy to us, not to be conformed to the sinful pattern of the world— but be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:1,2). We can know how to live our lives by following what God teaches us in His Word, the Bible.

At the Topeka Reformed Presbyterian Church, we live “For Christ’s Crown and Covenant.” Won’t you join with us as we seek to live out our lives in service of King Jesus?
