What to Expect

What does worship look like?

Per the Constitution of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America, our public worship consists of prayer, the singing of Psalms, the reading, preaching and hearing of the Word of God, the presentation of tithes and offerings, and the celebration of the sacraments. We aim to worship God in the same way scripture alone prescribes.

A unique feature of our denomination is the singing of Psalms without the accompaniment of instruments. We believe our voices are to be the instruments by which God is praised by singing from his song book.

Are children welcome?

We believe that God has included our children as members of the new covenant community of Christ and they should be included in our worship service. The position of both Christ and the Psalmist was that children were capable of praising God. (Matthew 21:16 and Psalm 8:2). We want our children to learn from an early age what it means to worship God corporately and what better way for them to learn than to be a part of the service.

If you have small children, we are not bothered by a little bit of noise, but we do provide nursery care as well.

What should I wear?

We do not hold to any particular dress code, other than to dress with modesty so our attention is on the worship of God. Some of our members wear casual clothing, others wear suits and ties.
